With back-to-school just around the corner, leisurely summer evenings soon will be filled with children practicing their reading, writing and arithmetic. There are several simple and innovative new products, all selling for less than $10, to help them.
BAG IT: For kids who brown-bag it at lunchtime, The Learning Lunch has created something to challenge young minds as they chow down.
Learning Lunch bags are standard brown paper bags with grade-specific questions printed on them addressing subject areas children encounter daily: Spelling and vocabulary; math, science and health; language arts and grammar; and social studies and history. Every package contains 50 bags selling for about $7.
Each set of bags has 60 questions in each subject area, and answers are printed on the side in the crease of the bag, so kids can check themselves. Available at www.learninglunch.com.
